About Conco
Conco — a division of Positech Corporation — is focused on providing a quality, standard line of articulating arms, manipulators, and inline lifters to customers worldwide.
The Conco® brand became associated with manipulator technology the late 1950s when the company — which specialized in crane and hoist manufacturing — acquired a license from Entech Corporation of Des Plaines, Illinois, to manufacture and sell the original pantographic manipulator.
In 1981, Conco merged with Tellus Machinery, an automated guidance systems company, forming Conco-Tellus, Inc. From there, the Conco® line of manipulators was owned by Interlake Material Handling Company in 1985; LSE Machinery of Concord, Ontario, in 1991; and then Columbus McKinnon in 1994.
At the time, Columbus McKinnon also owned Positech Corporation, making a natural progression for the manufacturing and sales of Conco® manipulator products to be transitioned to Positech in 1998.
In January 2004, both Positech’s line of custom material handling solutions and Conco®’s standard manipulator line became part of American Handling Systems, Inc. dba Positech Corporation, where it remains today.
